As a young and cosmopolitan multinational family, we appreciate the flexibility of staying in an apartment when we travel. Having visited all four corners of the globe, we know just what helps to create a cosy and welcoming home away from home. We are delighted to now be able to return some of the hospitality displayed to us in the most diverse spots around the world. Perhaps one of the most obvious is the many glorious Riesling wines produced here in the Rheingau winegrowing area. And the countless opportunities to experience these, with cellar tours in spring, wine festivals in the summer, wine hikes in the autumn and endless events in between. Then there are the many, many castles that led UNESCO to name the Middle Rhine Valley a World Heritage Site in 2002. The Rheingau is also renowned for its outstanding music and culinary events, with festivals for everything from rock and pop to classical music, street food to gourmet dining. Lorch itself offers a varied programme of fantastic events, too – all within walking distance of Apartment 541! There are also endless opportunities to get out and enjoy our beautiful natural surrounds – be it while hiking on the newly opened Wisper Trails or long-established Rheinsteig, mountain biking in the local forests or on a day trip aboard the historical Goethe paddle steamer.
